Lakota Aid News letter

Hi Everyone

I am putting out an appeal for donations for airfares or airmiles for 3 Lakota people for a round trip to New York from Rapid City South Dakota and back, plus motel and food expenses for a very important trip from May 7th-18th 2007.

The 3 people involved are from the  http://www.defendblackhills.org/

They are Garvard Good Plume, Clifford White Eyes and Charmaine White Face. These meetings are to do with The Permanent forum on Indigenous Peoples and Human Rights, and these people get no government, state or tribal help and rely on donations.

Garvard, Clifford and Charamine want to make a stand on the Grass Roots issues and Treaties, which are still being broken to this very day,  and are trying to put the needs of the people before the world.

They say that it is so important to get the traditonal peoples voices heard so that future generations, and the unborn children will still have a place to live on this planet that they can rightfully call their own.

Their motto is :- “Save a Group of People, Save a Nation!!”

Any body or organisation that can help please contact Charmaine on :-

bhdefenders@msn.com

or:- Garvard on :-  igmoziti@yahoo.com

It was Tony Black Feather, the late Uncle of Garvard Good Plume that started the ball rolling here to fight for the right to be heard and put forward the voices of his people. His motto was AND still stands :-

“LET THE SPIRIT LEAD!!”

Let his words and that of the Defenders group be heard by the  world .

Anyone that can help I say thank you so much. You are truly helping to keep a Nation alive!

Take care
