Appeal for Airfares and Accomodation expenses

Hi Everyone,

As I said in the last newsletter, I will soon be flying back to South Dakota on 25th March, so just to remind you that I will be putting out a newsletter in April about this trip and any new information I obtain via research that I will be doing whilst out there. I am so looking forward to visiting again with my Lakota friends on the Pine Ridge reservation, and making new friends and contacts whilst out there.

I am also putting out this newsletter as an appeal once again for help with airfares and accommodation expenses for 2 Lakota women named Janice BadHorse Larson, and Charmaine White Face.

Janice and Charmaine  are wishing to be able to attend a very important meeting in New York City in April 2008, which is geared on the subject of the “Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues”.  Details of the Permanent Forum can be found on

www.defendblackhills.org

Janice and Charmaine both support these causes and work closely with the Defend Black Hills org and are fighting for the rights of their people to be recognised not only as Native Americans, but human beings, the same as any other culture, and both work very hard for this cause.

If anyone can help with monies, or airmiles for Janice and Charmaine to attend this meeting in New York, which is from April 21st – May 2nd 2008, contact them via

www.defendblackhills.org.

Thank you in advance for any help here. These appeals have proved quite successful in the past and I will continue to put these out whenever needed.

Enjoy Easter, hope the weather behaves itself wherever you live and watch this space for the next newsletter in April.

Take care

Brenda.  www.lakota-aid.co.uk
